Bob Dylan 75th Birthday Art Exhibition

In celebration of Bob Dylan's 75th Birthday on Tuesday 24th May, Wirral artist Tony Kenwright (65) has a new exhibition at West Kirby Concourse Exhibition Space (Wirral, UK) depicting the iconic singer at various stages of his career along with interpretations of some of his most famous songs. The collection of over almost 50 paintings, VISIONS OF BOB DYLAN, opens to the public on 24th May at 10 am then run through until Saturday evening. Admission free.

Prizewinning artist Tony Kenwright, a former press-photographer, left journalism 10 years ago to pursue his love of art. ‘Quitting paper for canvas’, as he puts it, he has held solo exhibitions and sold paintings around the world. However it’s his Dylan-themed series that has attracted the most attention with some of his limited edition prints quickly oversubscribed.

Tony first saw Bob on May 14th 1966 and has attended over 50 Dylan concerts since then. He recently made a personal pilgrimage to Duluth and Hibbing in Minnesota to see where Dylan was born and raised. You can see more of Tony's Dylan paintings in the Gallery section of this site.
